While the music video clip is racking up more than 16 million viewers on YouTube, what really amazes us is the short timeframe (3 months) in which it is able to accumulate such gargantuan figures and applauded worldwide.
The ranking on Spotify is based on the number of people who shared it divided by the number who listened to it, from Friday Feb. 4, to Thursday, Feb. 11, via Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter and Spotify.
For global audience, the music video is charting on number one whilst it is second in the USA and United Kingdom.
Rosie Delmah’s Manager, Karl Bouro during an interview yesterday said that he was really impressed with the viral charting of the music video.
“To hit number one topping international music artists as shown in the top 10 viral songs on spotify sets a new record for Pacific music artists.
“Big name artists rarely go to number one and the clip took over from Zayn (One Direction member) who used to be on the top.
Mr Bouro is also the Manager of Torn Parachute, the Brisbane based Filming and Photography Company who filmed the video clip.
Spotify is a Swedish commercial music streaming, podcast and video service that provides digital rights management-protected content from record labels and media companies. Music can be browsed or searched by artist, album, genre, playlist, or record label.
Many Reggae love songs are is rooted in cover songs so this is nothing new, but thanks to video social sites like YouTube, Vimeo and others whereby singing cover songs like how Rosie did has taken a twist.\
Rosie’s first stage performance of ‘Hello’ with Conkarah Wednesday last week at J-Boog show is reported as amazing which won hearts of the many reggae fans.
Meanwhile a new cover song by the young singer (When we were young) released fortnight ago and is now on available on YouTube and Itunes.
