In a Press conference at the Statistics office Tuesday this week, Kimi explains that the recruitment is done according to two Acts that governs the operation of his office.
The two acts were the Statistics Act of 1970 that empowers the government’s constitution and the Census Act 1959 which authorized the office to recruit individuals.
He stated that under the section 3 subsections 2 of the Statistics Act, his officers are authorized to do clean recruitment of individuals, and that was where the act was bridged to the recruitment processed.
Kimi said if they were to go through the process of public services to recruit more than 2,000 or 2,700 people it will not be possible under law.
Meanwhile, the area managers, Census district superintendent and chief area managers were those that were authorized to do managing of the wards, areas and constituencies recruitments.
With that this was how the recruitment process was done in the provinces according to law.
