SOLOMON Islands veteran striker Benjamin Totori says he is targeting the semi-finals of the OFC Champions League with Fijian club side Lautoka FC.

Totori departed Nadi International airport yesterday with the Fijian champions yesterday for their OFC Champions League quarter-final clash with Tahiti champions AS Dragons.

Speaking to local Fijian media pre-departure, Totori is confident the Blues will advance into the last four.

“As a foreign player I am targeting the finals and I believe in my team mates that we are more than capable of achieving that.

“I have managed to play in few grand finals with my previous clubs and despite my age, I am more determined to reach another final,” he said.

The 32-year-old has made 44 appearances in the OFC Champions League and is by far the leading goal scorer in the Oceania premier international club competition.

He scored 24 goals in the process with two in Lautoka’s recent Group C runners-up campaign behind Auckland City this season.

Meanwhile, the team would like to play for the victims of the recent flash flooding in Western division of Fiji.

Blues coach Kamal Swamy said his team are on a mission to put smiles on people in Ba, Lautoka and Nadi.

“We will try to play well to put smiles on victims of the recent flooding in Ba, Lautoka and Nadi.

“I believe in my boys to do the job but AS Dragon will present a tough challenge for us,” Swamy said.

Lautoka will face AS Dragon of Tahiti this weekend on April 8th for a place in the semi-finals.
