THE overhead bridge in China town was constructed for easy access to both sides of the road without having to walk across the road against the busy traffic.
Again laziness and ignorance by people is evident over the years as they resort to crossing the road rather than having to walk up the over-head bridge.
The overhead walk-way was neglected and now, it is being used as a toilet.
The bridge now has a filthy walk-way that is littered with urine and human wastes.
A parent Hudson Solo has raised concern on the matter because the filthy state of the walk-way now prevents school children from using the overhead bridge.
“We have to walk with our children across the road everyday but sometimes, you see children running across the very busy traffic, which is very dangerous,” Mr Solo said.
He said an accident will happen at the spot if nothing is done to ensure the walk-way is safe to use again.
“I want responsible authorities to go and see for themselves what the walk-way holds above.
“It is filled with human feces.”
He appealed to responsible Solomon Islanders to put a stop to their attitude and use proper toilets.
