DEAR EDITOR - Thanks for the space in you column.
As the general election is getting closer, campaigning is slowly coming up around our country in one way or another.
I want to bring some food of thought to all our voters for the coming National General Election.
The question is what candidates should we vote for? We need to look at and answer these questions properly.
This is because all the candidates will all do the same thing – that is coming with SWEET TALKS.
My suggestions are given below:
a) God fearing – If he/she based his/her work on God principles, he is someone we should trust.
b) Not a Drunkard – This type of people will spend his and people’s money on beers with his/her associates.
c) Not a Night Club Goers - This is another area that can easily dry up people's money. You will often find the MPs in one night club to anther until morning with drinking friends some of them very young ladies or even MPS nieces.
d) Not having more than one wife. There are some MPs with more wives and extra partners – Just imagine supporting such a big family. Definitely constituency money will be used to maintain such relationships.
e) With Heart for the rural people – Someone that you trust that will always listen and trying his/her best to improve rural people's life.
f) Project oriented – Someone that will build things for the communities rather than giving $50 or 100here and there.
g) Welcome his people’s idea – Someone that can welcome and listen to his voters ideas and take them on board. Someone that can even welcome his voters to his or her house.
h) Unselfish – Someone who is not selfish. If he/she is a selfish person, even during anytime that you desperately really in need – he/she won’t even recognise the difference.
Make a good choice now than you won’t have to wait for another fouryears to have another chance to cast your vote.
