The election of Lusibaea

E-mail Print
Mr Lusibaea

Dear Editor – We wish to respond to the latest letter by a so-called Jacob Teine from Kira Kira on the above subject, which appeared in the Solomon Star issue No.4320 on Tuesday 17 August.

It is not worth responding to people who use nicknames to hide their true identity.

However, for the sake of your readers who have been following up on this subject, we wish to clarify the questions posed by Jacob Teine once and for all.

Jimmy Lusibaea is a creative and innovative individual that started his Lion Heart Plant Hire business from modifying dump trucks and heavy machine wrecks.

From here he sub-contracted with Bartlett on the Tuvaruhu Road in early 2008 and obtained establishment funding.

Lion Heart Company then obtained further contracts, for instance, the Mbokonavera/Kaibia Road; Ranadi Industrial Loop Road and Drainage; Honiara seal distributor roads; CSP East Malaita Road; East Malaita newly constructed road; and other minor maintenance and plant hire jobs.

We suggest Jacob Teine confirms with AusAID (CSP Road Project), the Asian Development Bank, the Central Tender Board and others should he be interested to obtain a $ figure.

We hope that Jacob Teine sees how and from where Jimmy gets all his money.

Rome may not be built overnight but creativity, innovation and sheer struggle can elevate anybody to fame and fortune.

If Jacob Teine thinks that Jimmy accumulated his assets from any rehabilitation packages from the ethnic tension then he needs to rethink because such huge funding cannot escape the public limelight and scrutiny.

Now that the clarification is given, we challenge Jacob to provide his evidence in his next letter if he thinks otherwise.

God bless North Malaita Constituency.
