MORE customers jumped at Our Telekom’s $150 Nokia handsets and free sim cards, which went on sale since Wednesday.

This is the first time Our Telekom slashed its prices for the quality Nokia handset, making it affordable for locals.

The special deal is for this month in which a Nokia handset is selling at $150, a sim card and $20 worth of free credit.

Reports reaching the Solomon Star said in Gizo and other sales offices in the province, many queue up to buy themselves handsets.

Unlike its competitor bemobile, which has its special offers limited to Honiara and Auki, Our Telekom has maintained that its service is accessed by the majority of the country with 90,000 mobile customers so far.

This month’s special will see an increase in Our Telekom customers registering for its breeze service.

The special deals and promotions by Our Telekom intensified last week after bemobile launched its operation.

During their launch, bemobile’s Alcatel handsets were sold at $149 with free sim cards.
