Mr Gua said the idea to set up the MDB is not the organisation’s idea but was extracted from the 2011 Federal Constitution Draft.
He claimed that from the federal constitution it was stated that there will be a state bank for each of the nine provinces.
“However it is our wish to turn the bank into a development bank for the province.”
Mr Gua added that critics should not use the failed business arms in Malaita Province as a tool to disapprove the idea to set the bank.
“This people must know that it is worth learning from the mistakes as without the mistakes, we will not learn.”
The General Secretary calls upon the critics to use their knowledge to help Malaita move forward and not to put on negative images to whatever planned developments is set for the province.
