Saefafia: Congratulation Manepora’a

A senior King George Sixth school tutor has congratulated the newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for East Are’Are Andrew Manepora’a for his victory.

Saul Justice Saefafia Maenia a form six and seven accounting tutor of KGVI has welcomed the result and congratulated Manepora’a for the fine achievement.

“He’s got the potential to lead. The people of East Are’Are must be proud to have such an academic to lead their constituency.”

Mr Saefafia said he knew Manepora’a very well and have shared a flat with him during their study times at USP.

He described Mr Manepora’a as a man of laughter, kindness, sharing, togetherness and very open.

Saefafia said though he is not from that constituency he is happy to learn of Manepora’a’s victory because of the qualities he has.

He joined with others who have contributed to congratulate Manepora’a for his landslide victory in the recent by-election in East Are’Are.

He said Manepora’a told him years back that he wanted to run for the national elections to bring up rural development capacity of East Are’Are people.

Manepora’a who unsuccessfully contested the past elections has finally fulfilled his dream to lead his people.

An Economist by profession, Manepora’a after finishing his fifth form at Tenaru in 1984 did his sixth form at KGVI in 1985 before going on a scholarship to Fiji to do his bachelor of economics.

In 2004 he went back to Fiji to do his postgrade in economics.

Before contesting the recent by-elections Manepora’a is the head of money laundering investigative unit within CBSI.

He has been a long time CBSI officer before then.
