Speaking to Solomon Star yesterday Robert Satu he was disappointed that some people are violating the law by catch the dolphins.
He claimed it’s not clear whether or not the group has obtained license from the Ministry of Fisheries and the Western provincial Government.
Mr Satu said while the ban of dolphin catches still in place it is irresponsible to continue with such actions.
Director of Fisheries James Terry said they were not aware of dolphin catch at Kolombangnara.
When asked that if the ban is still in place he said the ban is still in the Attorney General Chamber for vetting.
He said they are not yet granting license to local exporters.
Mr Satu is appealing to the national government particularly responsible authorities to consider people who engage in illegal catch.
The Solomon Star contacted yesterday some residents of Kolombangara but they denied such activity.
