This was
confirmed by the Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation (SIRUF) president,
Frank Wickham yesterday.
The support
includes funding of prizes for the competition which is organized as a series
of tournaments.
Mr
Wickham has expressed gratitude to Solbrew for the continuous support and continuing
to be a strong partner in the development of rugby in the country.
President
of Honiara Rugby Union Association (HRUA), Gregory Ofia is grateful for the
support package from Solbrew.
He calls
for public support for today’s matches at the King George VI Rugby Field as
some of Honiara’s power house rugby clubs battle for the
tournament and series placings.
Today
will see an act on packed string of quarter finals and semi-final
matches culminating in the finals of the first tournament in the series.
The Honiara Solbrew 7's competition will also be the hunting ground for selectors who will select the Solomon Islands National 7's squad to participate in the upcoming Oceania men's 7's competition in Australia during August.
