Dear Editor
- Its good to see the city getting busy with development. Over the past days
and weeks the city had been going a lot of development.
These includes upgrading of roads, construction of footpaths and car park lot and cleaning of drainage.
We hope to see more streetlights and repainting of some of the infrastructures in our city soon.
Thus, I would like to say the hosting of the festival is good thing as it brings more changes to this city.
For sure within weeks or months this city expects a facelift as had been described in the media recently.
The government through the ministry of infrastructure development (MID) should be commended for their work.
This also goes to the Honiara city council and other stakeholders.
Honiara residents should not just sit back and criticise them but rather support these stakeholders.
Honiara expects to host important visits such as the soccer champ, the arts festival, the Royal visit and important conferences in the country.
Thus, such development taking place is important for this city.
Lets be
proud of our city.
