Women and leadership

E-mail Print

FIRST of all on behalf on all Solomon Star readers through out Solomons, congratulations John Lamani on your on New Year’s awards.

And also I wish to commend your editorial office for having at last realised the bad ‘side effects’ of strings attached politics during general elections.

Please allow me to voice out my concern regarding the above political issue.

A woman leader has come out publicly and announced the interest of women who will be contesting in the up coming elections.

And another woman leader has also launched a women’s party manifesto.

I was quite vocal about women who try to enter the National parliament through the reserved seats in the past.

Please women, don’t get me wrong, before you all wanted me hanged, let’s look at God’s word concerning this very issue of women in leadership.

I whole heartedly respect your democratic rights to run in elections but my view then was, you must enter that narrow gate and no other gate.

And if women in leadership has become the way of the world then I wish you all good luck, but if it is not biblical then there’s nothing I can do either for it will also be the work of God.

But now that our women leaders have decided to go through the normal refinery process I wish you all good luck, because this time around it will not be that easy.

There is so much at stake if you know what I mean, and if you don’t have the guts and the keys (seleni), you are up against the well equipped.

I hope you all have prepared (financially) because a lot of strong men have prepared themselves years ago.

It is also a well known and acceptable fact that the world or most democracies around the world have embraced that trend that women must also have an equal opportunity in leadership and some have echoed that women will make better leadership.

Now back to basics.

My basics are in the word of God.

My views regarding the issue in discussion are my own and did not represent any religious institution whatsoever.

I shall try and make a balance view as much as possible.

If we read chapter 3 in the book of Isaiah, we will find that God can easily make women become leaders, and what else can He do?

He can also make babies become leaders.

Not because it is an acceptable trend around the world and not because they will make better leaders, but it will be because of the simple fact that “MEN LEADERS HAVE FAILED”.

Please don’t get me wrong men leaders, it’s God’s word that I’m talking about.

Please be reminded and be warned of God’s very own words in Isaiah in which He did warned His people about certain events which will take place if they, the ADAM MAN disobeyed God.

The question politicians need to ask themselves is; is it biblical to have women and children as leaders?

I can understand the awesome pressure that can be wielded upon them if our leaders have to decide otherwise.

Nonetheless, let’s look at what the Lord said concerning women and children in leadership.

God said in Isaiah ch.3: “Woe to their soul, for they have brought evil upon themselves. Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

“Woe to the wicked it shall be ill with him. For the reward of his hands shall be given him. As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths” Isa.3:9-12.

But it’s more beneficial to read Isa.3:1-12 to fully understand what I am trying to say and more so, what the Lord is trying to say to the MEN leaders.

And concerning youths in parliament, this is what the Lord said: “I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

“The people will be oppressed, everyone by another and everyone by his neighbour. The child will be insolent toward the elder and the base toward the honorable” Isa.3:4-5.

The Lord warned: ‘Woe to their soul’ and WOE means: affliction, bitter grief, distress, a curse upon, calamities, troubles.

In the gnb version, the Lord said: “The Lord will let the people govern by immature boys. Everyone will take advantage of everyone else. Young people will not respect their elders, and worthless people will not respect their superiors” Isa.3:4.

Even the credit crunch has been predicted long ago.

He said: “Money lenders oppress my people, and their creditors cheat them. My people, your elders are misleading you, so that you do not know which way to turn” Isa.3:12.gnb.

These following verses should also be taken into considerations.

“Man is the image and glory of God but woman is the glory of man. For man is not from woman but woman from man.

“Nor was man created for woman but woman for the man” 1Cor.11:7-9.

Could that be the reason why Jesus prayed: “Our father, who art in heaven?” and not “Our Mother who art in heaven?” maybe this issue is worth pondering.

In my view, our leaders have gone off track from their God given mandates.

I do not wish to put the entire blame on our youth parliament and women, but I blame our Adam Man leaders.

I hope the youth parliament will remain as a mock exercise or sample nomoa, and not end us up into something that will only see God mocking this so called Christian country.

It’s a foreign concept Mr Politicians, so tread carefully.

I’m sure this will hurt, with due respect, but I hold the view that what the bible says about creation and God’s mandate, intentions and will for man is very clear and that; man is the head, and man is the ruler and not women and their children.

Sorry women and children but that’s how God puts it.

It doesn’t mean that people like me do not wish to see you trying to rule over men.

I think my calls are for greater spiritual understanding and discernments about the role of men and the roles of women and its separation of powers.

God the Father rules from heaven, God the Son came to earth to show us how that rulership role should be executed on earth because Adam has failed that mandate and purpose.

“The Lord went back to His Father in heaven and sent us another helper who is God the holy Spirit to execute God’s mandate and judgment through us His children and His ambassadors (You and me as the church).

Isa.3:1-12 is a clear message from the Lord that when the Adam man fails his mandate to execute God’s will and mandate on earth, God will in the end allow women and babies to rule over the Adam man, not because women and children will make good leaders, never.

Rather it will be because man has disobeyed God and has become stubborn, and so it will be God Himself who will see to it that because of the Adam man’s (Mr Politician’s) disobediences and failures, we will be mocked by God Himself through our own women and children, and it is now taking place in this so called Christian country.

Allow me to just reflect a little about what happened in that Garden of Eden.

This is an account of what happened in the Garden of Eden: “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked, and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

“And the Lord said; ‘who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

“Then Adam said; ‘the woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me the tree and I ate.

“Then the Lord said to Eve; ‘What is this that you have done?’

“Eve said: ‘The serpent deceived me, and I ate. To Eve, the Lord said; ‘I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception. In pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” Gen.3:6-16.

That’s what the Lord declared, and his word also said: “So shall my Word be that goes from My mouth. It shall not return to me void. But it shall accomplish what I please” Isa.55:11.

Think properly now leaders, about what has been said by our spirit God.

There is but only one thing I strongly recommend, we must return to God. We must not adopt foreign policies that would not please God.

For God is not happy with those who do not please Him.

I call on any new government to make a New Year resolution of turning this country back to Jehovah God.

Even if sin and its desires lies at our doorsteps every second of the day or night, we have the supreme authority from the King Himself to rule over sin and its desires, Gen.4:7.

Future leaders, the Lord said: “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Gen.4:7.

That power to rule over sin has been given to the Adam man, but since he failed to up hold it, that same Supreme Power was given once again by Jesus Christ to His disciples, so what is the church waiting for?

That Supreme Power can turn earth into something that looks just like heaven.

So where do we start?

I suggest we “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness”.

Or simply put: ‘Start living a holy life’.

Women and youth, I can understand your frustrations, but in my humble view, all your answers are all in the bible if and only if you all would turn to God.

“Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” and not turning towards that ungodly parliament, because it’s full of corruptions.

What do you think Christians?
