Oceania Tennis Federation (OTF) celebrates the graduation of 11 Inspiring women in Pacific Women Leaders in Tennis Program (PWLTP) in Australia.
They are the third cohort of graduates from the Tennis Australia – PacificAus Sports Pacific Women Leaders in Tennis Program”.
OTF confirmed on Friday in a statement this is part of the Australian Government initiative that continues to empower women, foster leadership, and strengthen the future of tennis in the Pacific.
“Over the past three years, 29 women have successfully graduated from this transformative program, which equips participants with skills in leadership, coaching, and community engagement”.
The 2024/2025 cohort included representatives from Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Tuvalu, and Nauru, reflecting the diversity and talent of our region.
They are Branicia Itsimaera – Nauru, Cynthia Wickham – Solomon Islands, Daisy Sipiti – Vanuatu, Eglynda Bagadouwe – Nauru, Fenuatapu Mesaako – Tuvalu,
Karen Fonua – Tonga, Lorraine Kaiulo – PNG, Nadya Domasheva – Samoa, Sarojini Lal – Fiji,
Suliana Mausia –Tonga and Yvonne Carruthers of Samoa.
OTF President Cyrille Mainguy, who attended the graduation, shared his pride and optimism for the future of tennis in the Pacific, stating that these women are not only leaders in their communities but also powerful ambassadors for tennis and the values it represents. Their achievements inspire us all to build a more inclusive and vibrant tennis community across Oceania.
