THE country has recorded a further 143 new COVID-19 positive cases over the past 24 hours.
This was announced by Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services Pauline McNeil today (Friday 28th January) during a panel of discussion by health officials over the national broadcaster.
This now brings the country’s total positive cases to 898 as of today.
There were no deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, vaccination rollout continues in the capital over the past three days.
Dr Serah Habu Director of Reproductive Health said four teams are engaged in the jab rollout and more than 3000 people have taken their jab.
She thanked everyone who came out to get their vaccination.
She said this was the first jab for majority of those who turned up for vaccination.
