Cabinet has approved the 2022 Appropriation Bill for tabling in the upcoming Meeting of Parliament on 28 March.
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare said debate on the Bill will be the main item of business when Parliament meets.
The State of Public Emergency also expires on 25 March and Cabinet is yet to deliberate on whether to renew the SOPE or not pending guidance by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
If it is to be renewed, His Excellency the Governor General will make a declaration to that effect and Parliament by way of a resolution must agree to extend the period of that declaration.
Meanwhile, Clerk to the National Parliament David Kusilifu on Monday 11 March notified all members of Parliament of the meeting date pursuant to Standing Order 7(2).
