The 3 x 3 Basketball Series is set to kick off this weekend on Sunday March 2oth.
This will be followed by the second leg on May 16 and the final one on July 7.
The winning team will be crowned the 3×3 Kings after the third series.
Only 16 teams will register in this one day event and will be playing in a knock out format.
All registration will be closed on the week before the tournament; no registration will be done on the day.
This is to enable the organizing team to prepare technical matters for the game.
This competition is anticipated to be the biggest basketball event in the basketball calendar in Solomon Islands.
It will coincide with the 3 Points Showdown which will witness the best three point shooters battling out to be crowned the best three pointer of 2016.
Participants will need to be in one of the registered teams to qualify to participate in the – Three Point Showdown.
Organizer, DJ Big E Entertainment expressed that, one of the objective for this games is to uphold the principals of good sportsmanship in the game.
Not only on the court but be good ambassadors off the court.
This will encourage everyone to play with passion for the game while respecting each other both on and off the court.
So far there has not been any confirmation as to how many teams have registered.
