THE Country as of Tuesday recorded 77 new Covid-19 positive cases and two (2) deaths.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases to 5968, and 83 deaths recorded in the country so far.
Minister of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), Dr Culwick Togamana confirmed the figures in his weekly Covid-19 update, last night.
Dr Togamana said for the last 24-hours, the country has recorded 77 new positive Covid-19 cases.
Out of the 77 cases, 24 cases were detected in Honiara, and the other 53 were detected in the provinces.
He said for the last 24-hours, 30 cases were detected in Malaita, 19 in Malu’u and 11 cases in Kilu’ufi.
“Choiseul 3, Guadalcanal 9 and 11 cases for Makira Ulawa,” Dr Togamana said.
For other provinces, Dr Togamana said there were no updates from them.
He said there were no deaths in the provinces, and only Honiara has recorded 2 deaths for the last 24-hours.
