A TOTAL of eight independent candidates in Malaita Province have won their parliamentary seat in the last week’s election.
Reports reaching this paper confirmed that most of these independent members are former candidates.
They are; Jackson Fiulaua – Central Kwara’ae, Manasseh Maelanga – East Kwara’ae, new comer Augustine Auga – Lau Mbaelelea, David Tom Wanesiofa – Baegu/Asifola, Steve William Abana – Fataleka, Jimmy Lusibaea – North Malaita, Matthew C Wale – Aoke Langalanga and Martin Kealoe – Malaita Outer Island (MOI).
Out of these eight independent candidates only six candidates are winning candidates under various political parties in the country.
