THE country is expected see an increase in Police Participating Force (PPF) presence next week in the lead up to the National General Election (NGE).
This comes after 90 PPF officers from New Zealand and Australia have been confirmed to arrive next week.
This was revealed by the Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast on Thursday during Police weekly conference.
He said Police is currently involved in a commander control coordination exercise with the PPF as part of their election preparations.
He added the RSIPF is working hard to be ready for the national general election.
“We will continue our community engagement right up and through the election and we really support te support from the community,” Prendergast added.
The PPF officers are expected to help the local officers to maintain law and order during the November 19 election and the days leading up to the formation of a new government.
