The Solomon Airlines on Sunday resumes both its international and domestic flights after being cancelled last Friday due to heavy flooding as a result of cyclone Ita.
The came after the runway surface was flooded with water and debris from the Lungga river.
This had affected both the domestic and international flights.
But an officer from the airlines said domestic and international flight have resumed yesterday morning.
“Our domestic and international flights today,” he said.
For domestic flights services were made to Western, Isabel and Makira provinces while for international service the flight went to Brisbane.
Since Friday and Saturday aviation and airlines officers have been working very hard to clean up the runway ensure all flights can resume.
