SEVENTH Day Adventist church at White River, West Honiara, received $40,000 from the constituency’s church funds on Tuesday.
The funding will help the church to complete unfinished jobs with their building, according to chairman of the church Henry Waitua.
“This funding will help us to complete the unfinished jobs inside our church building, which were left undone for the last eight years,” Mr Waitua said.
West Honiara constituency development officer Brian Taupiri confirmed the funding comes from the constituency’s tithe funds.
The national government allocates around $100,000 each year to each constituency to support churches.
The funding is channelled through MPs.
