The Diocese of Auki Saint Augustine Cathedral celebrated the Palm Sunday with dedication prayer to the flood victims of Honiara and Guadalcanal.
The Sunday service also saw Sunday school students of Rade and Oibla communities celebrating their first Holy Communion.
In his pray of dedication, Bishop Chris Cardon asked diocesans to pray and remember the flood victims in their prayers.
“We must remember our brothers and sisters who have been victims of recent week’s flash floods in Honiara and parts in Guadalcanal”.
In his message during the celebration Bishop Chris asked the congregation to challenge their hearts as they enter in the Holy week.
“As we enter this Holy week, we must challenge our pride, our jealousy, our suffering, our weaknesses, our troubles, and our life’s to the suffering Christ. We must be thankful for what he has done”.
He congratulates and blessed the newly Holy communion Sunday school children and urged them to live their Christian lives in full.
