EASTERN Stars and Lilibeez have qualified for the finals of the Our Telekom carol competition in Auki, Malaita Province, on Saturday.
The Stars was picked by judges ahead of the seven contestants on Monday.
While Lillibeez made it through the final on Tuesday.
The runner ups who were eliminated with the other six contestants from the competition received 10 mobile handsets each.
It was a joyous moment for the Lillibeez on the night after it qualified into the finals.
Team leader Chrisma Kuri said they were so excited to be in the top four and praised God for that.
She said their success came out through hard work and good preparation.
“During our preparation towards the carol, we commit ourselves and spent most of our time rehearsing our wonderful songs and make sure the songs we sang give people a message for this Christmas season and we aim high for the best,” she said.
Solomon Star could not get the winner of last night’s competition after it went to press.
The final elimination is tonight before the finals on Saturday.
The winners of the competition will receive attractive prizes from the sponsor, Our Telekom.
