A renowned Australian group who travelled around to surf and fish will be arriving this afternoon in Honiara.
Known as the Mad Hueys, the group is expected to spend a week surfing and fishing on the Papatura Island resort on Isabel province.
Solomon Island visitors bureau marketing manager Freda Unusi yesterday said the group is coming with their own TV crew to feature the surfing activity happening on Papatura resort.
“This group comes from Australia and have toured parts of the world and pacific surfing and fishing.”
They will arrive today and will going over to Papatura Island resort to surf and fish.
These activities will be featured on TV upon their return to Australia,” she said.
The group is based at the Gold Coast and the members are looking forward for the trip.
Meanwhile Ms Unusi urged locals around Papatura area to welcome and look after these surfers whiling hosting them on the island resort.
