Round two of the Telekom S-league will finally kick off today following a two-week delay.
The second round of the TSL could not start as earlier scheduled due to the week-long wet weather experienced in the national capital, Honiara in recent days.
Matches will be played at the Lawson Tama Stadium.
Four matches have been lined up to mark the resumption of TSL’s third season.
Today’s matches will see KOSSA FC taking on Western United FC at 2pm followed by Malaita Kingz FC and X-Beam FC at 4pm.
Matches will continue tomorrow with Solomon Warriors FC taking on Hana FC at 2pm followed by Koloale FC and Real Kakamora FC at 4pm.
This is anticipated to be tougher than the first round because of a number of changes made in the line up of most of the TSL teams.
Most of the clubs have utilised the December and January transfer window to strengthen their line ups as they anticipate tighter competition in the second round of the league as the finish line looms.
Real Kakamora, Western United and Hana went on a whole sale spree scooping up a big number of players, the biggest number of transfers since inception of the TSL.
The most exciting shopping bag belongs to Hana who have signed four international signatures.
Hana will feature Japanese duo Aso Hirotaka and Keiki Tsuruta and Moussa Kourouma returns to Hana with fellow Guinean, Soumah Yaya.
Hana has also been reported to have signed with former youth representative, Joachim Rande, who returned to the country in November.
Rande was cleared for the Telekom S-League earlier this week after spending several years plying his trade in New Zealand.
League leaders Solomon Warriors have introduced five new players into their line up including the return of Jeffery Bule, who decided to return home after half a season with Vanuatu outfit, Amicale.
Another significant transfer is Joses Nawo who cut short his term at Amicale to sign up for X-Beam.
