The local congregation of the South Sea Evangelical Church (SSEC) of One’oneabu village, Malaita Province, witnessed the opening of their chapel, Thursday.
Rev Bishop Matthias Lima of the SSEC head office attended the programme. He opened and dedicated the chapel.
Rev Bishop Lima told the congregation:
“This building is not the church, the church is us people who believed in Jesus Christ, this building serves as a venue that we can use to accommodate ourselves to praise and worship our God”.
He commended the community for building the fine chapel.
“It shows that the community had done your best and strived to complete the building even though it took years.”
