LOCAL popular talent singer song-writer Mostyn Hani has helped himself to three awards at the 2012 Wantok FM’s Solomon Islands Music Awards Night on Friday.
CAT or Mosa as commonly known in the music industry is the lead-vocalist for three bands; DMP, Onetox and Small Jam-all of whom were award recipients at the awards night.
DMP scooping the Band of the Year Award, Onetox the Song of the Year Award and Small Jam bagging the Emerging Band of the Year Award.
“It is indeed a special moment for me, being part of all three bands that are award recipients tonight (Friday Night).
“I am indeed honored to be of these bands but most of all I am proud to be a Solomon Islands musician. Simply because we share, create and produce music together-a common goal and bond that we all share.
“I am also proud to be part of a music trend that has dominated the regional music charts the past ten years.
“This is what makes our musicians unique and special from others,” he said.
CAT called on all musicians in the country to continue working together, working hard to keep and maintain the unique trend of Solomon Islands burning not only throughout the Pacific Region but the entire world.
Other artists to collect more than one award are Evan Rush of DMP (Most Featured of the Year Award, Group of the Year Ward: DMP,) and Gee-Q of Small Jam and Onetox (New Emerging Group of the Year: Small Jam, Song of the Year Award: Onetox).
