VANUATU icon and Pacific songbird Vanessa Quai sent the Honiara crowd into rapture during her concert at the lakeside stage, Panatina, last Sunday.
She gave the crowd a glimpse of her new and upcoming album that comprised songs sang in New Caledonia, Spanish and French.
“I’m honoured to be invited by Kingdom Harvest ministry to put on this show to raise funds for Harvest Academy School,” she told the crowd.
“I’m glad to be back in the Solomons and to see how people love my songs.”
Local artists Kay Man Colcha and Davu also appeared on stage with a few of their carol songs.
Vanessa’s band the New Breed left Honiara for Papua New Guinea to perform for the Kora Foundation next month.
This was to raise funds for the unfortunate children of Simbu province in the Highlands who do not have the opportunity to further their education.
She will appear in Port Moresby, Lae and in the Highlands.
On January 4, she returns to Honiara at the invitation of Kingdom Harvest Ministry International.
