A THREE-DAY basic cooking training for various rural business women of Central Kwara’ae started yesterday at the Sea Front Restaurant in Auki, Malaita Province.
Facilitated by Ruth Mae and Linda Ansa from the Malaita Provincial Government Office, the training was aimed at broadening the knowledge, potentials, and skills of the participants.
Ms Mae said that the training was funded by the women themselves.
“It is through these women’s hard work that they managed to fund this training all by themselves.
“We all know that such is very beneficial especially to those who are intending on starting their own businesses in the near future,” Ms Mae said.
Eight grassroots participants have already started the first sessions with Ms Mae, highlighting that she believes they will find the training educational and exciting throughout the next four days.
