DIGICEL Fiji confirmed on Tuesday an investment of FJ$70 million (K90.9 million) to expand and upgrade its high speed data network.
Since its launch in 2008, the company described this as the ‘most significant investment’.
The company said the investment will deliver Fiji’s largest 4G network and expand its existing network to 3G+ coverage.
Chief executive Darren McLean said Digicel anticipated to change the market dynamics and providing customers with fastest mobile internet experience in Fiji.
He said the investment will be the platform to deliver new data services and Fiji’s best data experience to mobile and business solutions customers across the country.
“Customers are demanding more of our data network each month so we have made a big decision to enable all of our towers across the country with high speed 3G+ data capability.
