People of Marovo Lagoon in Western Province have acknowledged Destination Solomon in organising a cruise ship that made a brief stopover in Marovo on Tuesday.
Choda Vevo of Telina village, told the Solomon Star on Tuesday, people in Marovo were thankful for the visit by Silver Discoverer.
“We were very happy to have a cruise boat visiting our shores which benefited our people and the community at large.
“This is what we want, more cruise boats coming to our shores so that our people can sell and display their products to earn an income,” Mr Vevo said.
He said they need more boats visiting their area.
MV Silver Discoverer also visited Honiara on Monday for a brief stopover.
