The Anglican Church of Melanesia General synod meeting in November 2014 has agreed for the John Coleridge Patteson University to offer its own education diploma programs in 2015. The program will be offered as primary teaching diploma qualification.
The other course on offer is theological education courses currently offered at Bishop Patterson Theological College.
The courses will also be offered alongside the education courses on distance mode.
The university committee will be deciding soon whether the theological education courses will be offered as certificate or diploma courses.
The Academic Committee the JCPU TFC has appointed to do the work will complete the work it started last year and decide when the courses will be ready to be offered this year. The venue will be at St. Nicholas College in the evenings.
People holding degrees in education studies are encouraged to apply for the position of tutors to teach the education courses.
And those intended to enrol in the programs are asked to enquire at the Church’s tertiary education office.
