Team National under 16 team on Tuesday left the country for the under 17 Oceania Competition in American Samoa.
The team of 20 was accompanied team manager Donald Marahare, team coach Jacob Moli and his assistant coach Eddie Rukumana.
A total of 11 Teams are taking part in this year’s competition.
Team coach Jacob Moli said the team is going for the competition and expecting good results.
Moli said the support rendered by soccer fans in the country was overwhelming and is a bonus to the team spirit.
He said the young team is ready to put to use what they have learnt in the past weeks.
“We are not going there as tourists, but to produce the result we want.
He said it was no easy job coaching the young team but their intense trainings will pay off.
He said some young players are very excited because it is their first time to travel outside of the country.
