The newly elected Solomon Islands Member of Parliament for West Makira, Derek Manuari is calling on the government to develop his constituency.
He says cocoa farmers, copra producers, fishermen and timber millers from his constituency have been contributing to the national economy, therefore they deserve government assistance.
Mr Manuari said many copra producers and cocoa farmers from West Makira need to rehabilitate their plantations as their trees are no longer bearing fruits because of age.
