The Bank South Pacific (BSP) is opening up another agent in Kirakira, Makira Ulawa Province following complains over the poor service provided by the current agent.
This comes as BSP has announced a deal to takeover Westpac’s operation in five countries in the region including Solomon Islands.
BSP Country Manager David Anderson said, plans to open another agency in Kirakira was due to demand for the service in the province.
“Once we open another banking agency there, we’ll introduce the award winning Kundu Saver account and EFTPOS cards and the agency is connected directly on line to BSP Honiara and does not require any phone calls to Honiara to check balances.
“It is a cheaper and quicker option for our customers. The old agency does not have the availability to open these accounts and should be directing customers to the new agents to transfer their existing account to a Kundu Saver account,” Mr Anderson said.
He encourages all BSP customers at Kira Kira to visit one of the newly established agents and arrange to transfer their account to the new Kundu Saver account and this will certainly save them time and give them more options(including Banking Times) when they travel to Kira Kira to do their banking.
