Journalism students of Solomon Islands National University (SINU) were excited to have a brief visit from Youth@Work’s communications team yesterday.
The purpose of the visit was to present to students about a magazine thatYouth@Work is currently working on, and to encourage them to contribute to the magazine.
“This is a big opportunity for us journalism students to try and expose ourselves into the world of writing, and at the same time contribute too in the first Youth magazine,” said student Agnes Menanopo.
Agnes said, that she was very happy the team recognized the potential of the journalism students in contributing to the new magazine.
Other students also expressed their appreciation for thevisit and, said that they cannot wait to start submitting their articles.
Youth@Work is currently working on their first ever youth magazine dubbed, YOSI, which is short for Youth of Solomon Islands.
The first publication is expected in June.
