THE country’s OFC O’League representative Western United is rallying support ahead of their crucial opening match this Saturday.
Yesterday, the team visited Rawaqa Primary School in Fiji – a gesture visit to boost students’ moral in the sport.
Students came out in numbers hoisting the Solomon Islands flag in support of the visit.
The school has in place the ‘Just Play’ soccer program.
Western United is pooled in a tough queue with NZ, Vanuatu and Fiji the hosts of the OFC tournament.
They play Vanuatu’s Amical FC in their opening game tomorrow (Saturday).
