Our Telekom Company has donated its own branded umbrellas and flags to Malaita Football Association (MFA) last Friday to support the current soccer league.
The presentation was conducted at the Telekom head office in Auki, Malaita province.
Telekom Auki branch manager Mike Selaga said, as the major sponsor of Our Telekom Malaita capital league which is currently under way in Auki, the company is pleased to support the event with umbrellas and flags.
“We wish to donate umbrellas, flags and a free handset 3G mobile phone to the president of Malaita football association Eddie Omokirio.”
Mr Selaga said, the flags and the umbrellas will be positioned at Aligegeo stadium during league matches.
“On behalf of Our Telekom company we fully support the soccer league through such sponsorship.”
Vice president of Malaita football association (MFA) Malchom Moli thanked Our Telekom for their support towards the league.
He also thanked the MFA president who is also the vice president of Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Eddie Omokirio for his hard work through negotiation with Our Telekom to be the main sponsor of the Malaita capital soccer league 2015.
“We look forward for this kind of support from our very own Telekom company in the future,” Mr Moli said.
MFA as a token of their appreciation also donated two soccer match balls to the staff of Our Telekom Auki branch.
