The announcement for the final volleyball squad for the Pacific Games will be announced this weekend.
Walter Tesuatai, the vice president of Solomon Islands volleyball federation told Star Sports yesterday the announcement will be made during the presentation of prizes for the Easter national volleyball championship.
The presentation of awards will be held at the Tropicana tomorrow night.
The announcement will be for both the indoor volleyball squad as well as the beach volleyball squad.
The selected squad players have been selected from the recently held volleyball championship held in Honiara during the Easter break.
This event comprises of both teams from provinces and Honiara based teams.
It is an annual event which has been used this year to select the squad.
Prizes to be awarded will be $5000 for the first prize, $3000 second, $2000 third and $1000 fourth for both the men’s and women’s’ category.
Prizes are sponsored by Samlingsan company.
The SIVF calls on all teams who will be awarded with prizes as well as other teams to be part of the presentation night.
