THE Solomon Islands Swimming Federations will for the first time send female swimmers to the Pacific Games.
This was confirmed by the Swimming team Coach Seancute Sanga.
For the coming Games the SISF will send a total of eight swimming athletes.
Swimming Coach, Seancute Sanga said among the eight were three females.
Sanga said actually this is first time for the SISF to send local swimmers to take part in the Pacific Games.
Despite being the first time to take part in the Pacific’s biggest sporting event, the SISF is hopeful the local swimmers will put up a good challenge in the Games.
They have been in training for the past years hoping to be selected as one of the sports to be included in the participating sports for the Pacific Games, and finally they are in.
The swimmers are currently doing training at the Ranadi Marine School beach to shape their athletes in good shape before the Pacific Games.
