Dear Editor – It is my understanding, subject to any correction, that the Solomon Islands Red Cross Society must have confirmation from the Police in writing that there is need for assistance for the family who lost their two tiny children in the house fire last Saturday morning at Tasahe B Ridge before the Society can make an assessment and determine what the bereaved family needs.
If the Police investigation of the incident is completed and Red Cross assistance can be requested, may I please make this appeal that such action is initiated as soon as possible.
