This week sees Solomon Breweries embark on a new journey with their much loved, premium, locally brewed beer, SolBrew Lager.
In its 22 year history, SolBrew Lager has seen various packaging and branding evolutions, but none as significant and as exciting as the rebrand unveiled to consumers this week.
In a nod to the history and heritage of the product, the new packaging offers a refreshed and modern take on the traditional square rigged sailing ship, with a forward facing, clean lined ship ploughing ahead through the waves. The packaging also pays respect to the longevity of the brand, and includes the date of establishment, and a sample of the many international awards that the beer has won, including the most recent two in 2013 and 2014.
The swag of Monde Selection awards won by SolBrew Lager are part of an annual award submission which sees international experts rigorously testing the lager across twenty different parameters. For the past two years, SolBrew Lager has taken out silver awards internationally.
The new design is featured on the 330ml bottle, and a new 300ml can which also features a background story to the beer, outlining why SolBrew Lager is the taste of Solomon Islands. The new cans, bottles and impressive 6 pack shrink-wraps, as well as a host of other merchandise, will also roll out across bars and bottle shops in the coming weeks.
Marketing Manager Fiona Marston said she is really very proud of the hard work her team has dedicated to the rebrand of SolBrew Lager, and that the premium flagship beer of Solomon Islands, now has premium packaging befitting the quality of the beer itself. Importantly, we want to assure our consumers that whilst it is a new look, it’s the same great taste that consumers know and love.
