Local gospel group Miracle Singers of Kukum SDA Church in Honiara arrived back after touring the United States of America.
The group were amongst many other gospel musicians around the world to attend a week-long General Conference, the highest global event of Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The General Conference was held in Texas State.
They also took with them their latest DVD, ‘Amazing Grace’, launched prior to the US tour and sold at exhibitions at this international event.
Group Director, Lloyd Tahani said, it was a successful trip for the group, especially to attend such big conference in the states.
“It was different, challenging but we managed, learned and grasp out from the conference lots of things as learning curves,” he said.
He said to attend and sing amongst the best gospel musicians around the world with the likes of Heritage Singers is a privilege the group will always cherish.
“Was an experience like no other where we have been to which the group was so fortunate to attend.
“An exposure to the many cultures, different types of gospel music played, all kinds of people, variety of foods, the lifestyle and off course the living environment itself,” said Tahani.
“It was an impressive tour.”
On their way back via Fiji, the Miracle Singers stopped over and held to concerts in Suva before coming home.
Mr Tahani said the concerts held in Suva, Fiji were successful and they were so grateful to the other part of the group who had made those concerts possible.
Welcoming the group on arrival, James Teobasi expressed his overjoyed heart on having the group arriving back safely.
“We know the challenges faced are tough but we are so grateful that you all arrived back safe and sound.
“Those of us at home like we have been from the starting, share the same joy, happiness and that achievement the group attained during this tour.
“You have made the country, the church, families, known individuals and those who have supported the group in one way or the other proud.”
He added all these achievements would have not accomplished without the supports and prayers – which we are so thankful to praise His name.
