NADI, (FIJI TIMES) – Athletics Fiji president Jo Rodan is content with the performance of Team Fiji at the Pacific Games.
In an interview upon the arrival of Team Fiji at Nadi International Airport last night, the former national athletics rep said all athletes gave their best.
“Overall we performed well and we improved from sixth in the last game to fourth this year,” he said.
“PNG budgeted $44m for their preparation.
“But we are happy with our performance because these athletes performed with passion.
“In the next four years athletics will be back at the top.”
Rodan also acknowledged the performance of the 27 secondary school students who performed well against seasoned athletes at the games.
“This is a re-building phase for athletics and we will come firing in the next four years.”
