This coming Sunday, 2nd August 2015 SIBC will broadcast live the mass and Church service from the Catholic Diocese of Auki in Malaita.
This is an initiative by the bishops of the Catholic Church in Solomon Islands. In one of their meetings some years ago, the Bishops decided to bring out Catholic Sunday services to its three dioceses namely; the archdiocese of Honiara, Auki and Gizo dioceses.
In the past, all Sunday radio broadcast services from the Catholic Churches come from Honiara.
It was joyful and uplifting indeed to hear masses coming from different parishes, various preachers and a variety of choirs and singing.
This arrangement brought a lot of encouraging and positive comments from other christians denominations.
This Sunday’s SIBC broadcast mass will be coming from Saints. Peter & Paul’s church at Lilisiana, a community just outside of Auki town.
Sunday school children and the youths there will animate the liturgy with Bishop Chris Cardone op, the main celebrant.
