TOURING ‘The Voice Australia 2014’ star, Elly Oh has successfully staged two weekend shows and a vocal workshop at the Honiara hotel last week.
Her tour here was part of Crown Sound Entertainment and Honiara hotel management’s initiative in bringing in international artists to perform in the country as well as facilitating small workshops to help our local singers and song writers.
The Asian star now based in Australia was the first international artist to tour here under the new initiative.
A vocal workshop held last Friday has attracted over 30 local songsters both male and female and also kids as young as six years old, where they learn different types of singing techniques which they themselves were proud and happy about.
Later on Friday night, she performed an hour show which attracted quiet a great number of expatriates as well as locals at the Le Flamingo club.
She was being backed by ‘The Band’ a household name which was very popular in the country with their remarkable style of music.
The touring star then performed her final show at the same venue on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Crown Sound Entertainment wished to thank everyone that has contributed in one way or the other that makes the tour of the visiting artist a success.
The organizer also acknowledges the Honiara Hotel Management for being a main player and sponsor of the event.
According to the independent entertainment company based in Honiara, another international artist that will be touring next month will be announced soon in the coming days.
