TWO hundred elderly mothers and those with special needs within North Guadalcanal Constituency (NGC)on Tuesday received solar kiteach thanks to their Member of Parliament (MP)Samson Maneka.
The ceremony to handover the solar kits was conducted at Nguvia Catholic station near GPPOL 2.

Mr Maneka speaking at the occasion said, the solar kits were made possible through funding support from the Ministry of Mines and Energy including North Guadalcanal Constituency Funds.
He said, early this year these mothers approached him requesting assistance for solar.
“And today I give them what I had promised them,” Mr Maneka said.
He urged each woman recipient to use it wisely.
“I urge every one of you (women) who receives each solar kit to please keep them safe so that it can last long.”
The MP promised to support the women in the future once more funds are available.
