Breeze netball team regained some pride last Saturday despite their last week’s loss to mighty Police Netball team.
Last Saturday, they restored their pride after coming from behind and narrowly edging one of the hot contenders in the tournament Gold Ride 1 in a nailing biting battle in front of a good crowd at the Lawson Tama netball court.
It was Gold Ridge who settled down well and utilized their chances but could not maintain their 7-5 lead in the second quarter.
Breeze regrouped well in the second quarter, scoring 14 points and stunning a determined Gold Ride girls who only managed to score 10 points putting their opponents on 19-17 in the interval.
Both teams entered the court on third quarter with brilliant performance however the score line was locked on 8-8.
The fourth quarter was again locked on 9-9 but the final score was 36-34 in favour of Breeze.
The other premier matches saw Isa Purple get free points over Police 1 who did not turn up during their match while Sunrise thrashed Green Barets 58-38.
In the Premier Reserve Division matches, Gold Ridge 2 defeated Isa Blue 50-46 while Southerns 1 edged Police Two 49-36.
A division — Hale defeated MOFT Shooters 36-25, Kakamora beat CY Pearls 31-28, SOSA Nellystead over power Police 24-19 and Southern 2 edged Doves 1 33-23.
B division – Namoruka opened their games with a victory against HCC with 20-11, FAMBS Trashed HB Kwaks 29-13, Doves 2 defeated Luapel 12-9 while SM Hornbills edged Wannabes 16-9.
Meanwhile HNA continues tomorrow with two great matches.
Andel will take on SOSA Faywright at court 1 while Kolei United will be up against Provident Gold at court 2.
Both matches will kick off at 4:30 pm.
