Bmobile-Vodafone are continuing their expansion rapidly this month with more towers coming on air.
A statement from the company yesterday said, more towers will come on air in Honiara with a new tower in Rove scheduled for Tuesday next week – 18th of August.
“This tower will give vastly improved voice and 3G+ services to Tandai, Rove, Town ground and across to the botanical gardens.”
Meanwhile the company said, its new 03B data service will also be available next month.
“The launch of the new 03B data services which will come on air at the beginning of September.
“This new service will give as much as four times faster data speeds which the entire country has been screaming out for.”
The company statement explained this whole network upgrade which has been going on for the past eighteen months have been designed and more importantly skilfully implemented so that it will be able to handle the increased capacity and usage of this new data boost.
“The base works for the O3B Satellite antennas have been completed this week and this project is also on schedule for the end of the month launch.
“This will give bmobile-Vodafone customers a vastly quicker 3G+ mobile service.”
The statement said, the management are very confident that this will be the quickest mobile data service in the Solomon’s.
“All our mobile handsets from September will be pre-loaded with data speed test App’s so they their customers can see exactly how quick the service will be.”
They are confident that their 3G+ data service will enable their customers to stream and download music, movies and educational tools, the statement added.
“This should help enable Solomon Islanders to undertake tertiary courses on-line.”
Bmobile-Vodafone currently have the lowest data mobile pricing which makes all these data services affordable for the first time.
This 03B service will be a massive step forward for bmobile-Vodafone. The current project of building twelve new towers from March – August 2015 has all been geared up for this 03B launch in September.
These twelve towers were designed and located in areas that will maximize data usage such as GPPOL, East, West and central Honiara, Auki, Gizo and Malu’u.
Bmobile-Vodafone in PNG launched their 03B services in July in time for the South Pacific games.
All Solomon Islanders who travelled across for the South games would have seen that these data services were very quick and affordable in Port Moresby.
This service will now be mirrored in the Solomon’s this September by the bmobile-Vodafone network.
The company said, new promotions and services will be entered into the market in September for bmobile customers including access to all BSP products.
Bmobile Vodafone are determined to ensure that they are the friendlier trusted network for the remainder of 2015 and continue to offer value for money promotions, the company added.
They are currently recruiting in all sectors in preparation for their expansion.
